Working of Solenoid Valve

The solenoid valve mounts directly onto the pneumatic actuator’s inlet/outlet ports. When an electrical signal energizes the solenoid coil, it generates a magnetic field that moves the internal plunger or spool, directing compressed air into the actuator to drive it open or closed. When the signal is removed, the valve returns to its default state — either through a spring mechanism (3-way, for spring-return actuators) or by reversing air flow through a second port (4-way, for double-acting actuators). This precise control of air routing allows the solenoid and actuator to work in tandem to regulate valve position automatically.
